A LITTLE BIT OF THE RANDOMNESS B4 CHEM...

well, it was randomness interspersed throughout the day. It started a bit earlier than i would have liked, well actually a lot earlier, heh. This was magnified by the fact that i went to sleep at my usual time too. Yea, so today was the annual UCMAP stadium cleanup, and being the devoted (not as much lately... but i manage, heh) wushu-er that i am, i decide to help out this yr, especially since i missed the cleanup last yr... It began at the unheard-of hr of 9... im usually in the REM zone of my sleep by that time, and the next time i see any daylight is jus in time for lunch. Ehh, u do what u have to. Atop the monstrosity that is pimentel hill, the stadium sprawled around me, engulfing me w/ these mounds of trash... well, our section wasnt bad. The whole entire section set aside for UCMAP wasnt bad at all. The big C-section of the stadium (the student cheerin section) was horrible tho. I felt really bad for the guys who were assigned that section, and there werent many guys there at all... anyway, our section got clean pretty damn fast, considerin we had quite a bit of volunteers.

There were some things that made me think as i swept up all the debris of the aftermath that was the Berk-UCLA game (which we won 17-12, HAHA). Armed with a rake, which made a sound akin to claws on a chalkboard btw, i set out to sweep all the nastiness in sight. Peanut and macadamia nut shells were abundant. Bottles and cups half-filled with various sorts of liquids (thankfully not certain kinds of liquids) were hidden under benches and embedded among nachos and cheese. Pretty much it was a sticky mess. What really struck something within me was the sheer volume of trash amassed under those benches, and the incredible waste. I think most of the containers i swept still had a considerable amount of liquid in them. The most interesting thing i found was a full Power-Bar, still wrapped up. Either the guy dropped it and forgot about it, or he must really hate power bars... Its the first time i ever seen something of that sort. All this waste reminded me of somethin my roomie Mark said to me once, something about most of our garbage being composed of packaging material. And that has more truth to it than anyone realizes. Jus made me think for awhile... After all that ofal mess, there was a most-interesting-piece-of-crap contest. What was found was the following: a teething ring, a mini cal helmet in its original packaging, a surfer book, a my little pony figurine, binoculars, a FULL bottle of kayopectate, a chemistry mole (its a little furry mole thing that they handed out for mole day, i think), and that was all i could remember. What won out was the chem mole, 2nd was... i forget, and 3rd was the teething ring. Good stuff baby.

Afterwards, i headed over to the RSF for the wushu open workout so that i could work on our group set... and a little cause i missed fri practice... hehe. I had a good enough reason... slippin on the slick hardwood floors in our apt and bangin my right knee pretty darn hard. Yea, it hurt, and it still does... For about a good hr i jus kinda messed around, tryin to do a inside fall (kinda successfully) and a kick-up (unsuccessfully). Then, my group members came by and we worked on the set, tweakin the basic set around a bit. Pretty much we added a little roll, a cartwheel b4 the flyin sidekick fall, and a twirling thingy followed by a cat stance in the end. Jus little touches to make us stand out, hehe. A sparring set would have been nice... but we were kinda strapped for time, since the competition is in 2-3 wks.... whoa. The more advanced groups were doin some crazy stuff w/ their group set, having this 5 on 1 sparring set involving a frakenstiener and a butterfly twist fall... mad craziness baby. After being thoroughly burned out (skippin out on breakfast... doh), i dragged my tired, ragged body home and tried to shake off a little headache with a little nap....

Which leads to what transpired right about now, dinner and randomness. Dinner was pretty good, and fillin too. A little too fillin... First up was Marie Callendar's chicken pot pie soup. We decided to use all five cans... cause they were pretty small. They made about 2 good servings for each of us. Pretty tasty to boot, hehe. Then, there was the ravioli with alfredo sauce. A little italian lesson on the bag was included. Apparently ravioli is italian for "leftovers", and ravioli was originally leftover dinner stuffed between two layers of pasta and cooked. Hrmm, learn something new everyday, ehh? Well, even if we were eatin leftovers, they were good too. To put us over the top, tortilla chips with salsa. Needless to say, im pretty stuffed.

And then it was the randomness on google. For some reason or another, Vic and i decided to search google with our names. Ill start off with the most hilarious, which would be Vic's find. According to this site, Vic really sucks at sumo wrestling. Yea, after seeing this, hilarity ensued, not only cause of its highly ironic nature, but cause all the information is freakishly accurate. Next up is Mark, who seems to be very artistically inclined. Ladies, never fear, Mark is here. Mark is also pretty handy with the camera. And again, ladies, Mark is here for all ur pleasuring needs. Heheh... And as for urs truly, here it is. The 1st site that came up was this site, oh yea baby, hehe. And then there was the wushu sites. But here are the most interesting ones, hehe. I might not truly believe in reincarnation, but anything can be possible. I must have breezed through seminary in my sleep. And for all ur hitachi needs, contact me. Google is wonderful, ehh?

On another note... HALOS WON. ITS TIED UP BABY!!! As much i hate the giants (i despise them with a passion. What can i say? I bleed Dodger blue baby), even tho i technically live in SF now, i hate the sportcasters who downplay the Angels in the world series as much. Only reason to watch the series is bonds??? BLASPHEMY!!!! Dont count out the HALOS yet, lest u be beat down by rally monkeys.

Well, to all those SF fans out there... sorry, its not goin to be ur yr. Next yr too, since the Dodgers will whoop ur beloved team. To all the rest of u guys, take care now. More to come soon.
