IT BEGINS....

and im soo very tired. Not jus a fatigue that plagues u for a day or so. Its this constant fatigue and sleeplessness that seem to become this sort of haze that hovers around u wherever u go, and whatever u do... well, not in all cases. There r some things that u can never get tired of. And what all this culminated to this wk was the first of many midterms to come, but the first out of 4 initial ones for this upcoming wk. Yeap, it was for Bio 1B, not too bad of a class, minus the 8 o clock lectures and such. So, the midterm was at 8 this morning as well. Pouring over various lecture notes and goin over some sample questions the nite b4, i had to shake this sense of impending doom that was looming from behind. Then, the time came, it was time to meet up w/ what was ahead. Looking over the test, it invoked a sort of nostalgia in me, since ive seen this kinda thing b4. The midterm was basically your standard Mr. J style test (Mr. J was my hs bio teacher for a good 2 yrs, reminded me of santa claus a lot, hehe). U have ur questions that u either kno or dont kno, and then u have ur multi-answer-but-only-one-right-choice type questions. I think all Bio profs really love to shroud a question or 2 in their exams in a sort of ambiguity, jus to watch some of the students squirm a bit. Or maybe thats jus me... In the wake of it all, 37 questions worth a total of 100 pts was on the line. All in all, i dont think i did too badly... but i shouldnt dwell on this too much. A dark, ominous cloud full of isomers and chair configurations of a hexane molecule await for me on the horizon. Its only the start baby... i need to go h4rdc0r3 really soon.

And yet, i still find myself w/ some sort of energy, however little it may be. Theres lotsa things that still keep me tickin, some which im not goin to list here. U may or may not kno about those, but sometimes its better to be in mystery, hrmm? Well, one of them, or course, is the anime. Ever since... about junior yr, anime has been a growing interest of mine. For better or worse, that interest is blooming to this day, especially now. Right now, what im really into is Excel Saga, Chobits and now Scryed. Chobits is a good one in particular. So good, ive been helping make a fan site for it w/ my wushu buddy Jon. Yall should visit the site sometime and find out y its soo good, hehe. Scryed is a new one (well, new for me, its been out for a yr now) thats proved to be a good one. Its about these ppl who have these inate abilities, called Alters. These Alters can be manifested using any sort of matter within the environment, very nice. And then, theres Excel Saga, one of the weirdest, most random animes ive ever seen. With most anime series, ull get lost if u dive into it in later eps. But, w/ Excel Saga, it doesnt really matter. What most of the series is composed of is various experiments that the directors of the series try out. In most cases, today's experiment...... failed. Nevertheless, i really do like this anime, wouldnt have it any other way. Especially Nabeshin, the director of the series that pops up in every episode, who seems to kno every1 and everything that goes on in an instant... and has an afro. Good stuff. Its a very nice diversion from the routine of it all. But sadly, i finished it off today, the last ep topped all of them in terms of randomness. Its all good, didnt disappoint at all.

Another is the wushu, even tho it does make me physically tired. Very physically tired... but its all good, gets out the pent up restlessness from within. I learned quite a bit of interesting stuff today. For starters, im beginnin to learn one of Wong-Fei-Hung's forms, a traditional tiger-crane form. Not really used for battle, it was mainly used to condition and strengthen the body. Yea, it really does, believe me, its one tough form. Instead of the normal 4 sections in most of the wushu forms, this one has a good 8 sections... all with southern flavor. Yummy. Then, i learned the origins of some wushu stuff tonite. That same tiger-crane form was developed by 4 Shaolin monks who managed to escape the wrath of the Ching emperor. This group included Fong Sai Yuk, famous for his ability to survive the many attempts at his life. He was finally put down by White Eyebrow... somethin, i forget, but he dispatched Fong Sai Yuk in an interesting way. A sword up through the anus.... sometimes when some1 says to cover ur ass, they might literally mean it... So, anyway, the form gets its northern-southern flavor from another one of the monks. Another interesting pt was the origin of the wushu salute. The salute is done by puttin ur left hand in a flat palm, the right into a fist, touch the two together, and thrust out. This is also a Shaolin thing, where the palm stood for the moon, and the fist represents the sun. A salute to reestablish the Ming dynasty. Whoa, learn somethin new each day.

Theres other things that keep this battered and fatigued body of mine tickin, like the k-pop that i listen to constantly. And certain other things, but, yea, dont think ill write them down jus yet. Curious, ehhh? In any case, ill need all the luck/energy/discipline that i can get. These next few days will be quite draining... Yea, so take care yall. More to come later, maybe when all this midtermage is over w/...
