HAHAHAHA
Goofy, sweet, and a bit perverted. Usually your type tends to put an outward appearance of being a nutcase when they actually are quite serious and emotionally torn....and then some are just nutcases.
Find out what anime character cliche you are.
I always knew i had a little vash in me, yay.
SPAGHETTI W/ ROASTED TOMATOES...
pretty much sums up the past couple of days. Yesterday i was a little tired to make any coherent writting, so i decided to make the new post a two day one. That one meal above relates to these two days pretty well, even tho i didnt have anything like that today. That will be explained later... but for now, onto yesterday:
Yea, so yesterday i went to the Ol' Spaghetti Factory tucked pretty inside the town of Fullerton to go to Eileen's surprise b-day dinner. It was disguised by Esther N and tooooo seeexxxyyyy James as a celebration dinner to commemorate their last day of summer sessions. After we slowly got the ppl together at the Spaghetti factory, Lynn figures out a way to make Eileen even more surprised. When Michelle, Kristine, and Eric arrive, Lynn places us at locations right up to our table. It would make it seem as if we met each other by coincidence, in principle. After awhile, Eileen graces us w/ her presence, and Kristine was almost noticed a little too soon in the parking lot, but no biggie, hehe. So, i had my back turned while Eileen genuinely seemed surprised to meet up w/ every1 on coincidence, and then she notices me. Turns out she really thought that every1 was here by coincidence until we came up to me, and then she knew something was up. Doh.... hehe, its all good. James had some family business to take care of (turns out he was showing around a 9th grader kid from outta around the colleges in the area, and some of the LA locales), so he couldnt make it to the dinner itself. Yea, so we ordered our stuff, talking about various things. Guess there was some disguised innuendo from Michelle that night. Griping about my 8am classes across the board next sem, Michelle says she has the same situation, and then she resolved that we sleep at 11pm sharp, together! I didnt catch it at 1st, but that didnt come out right i guess. Funny stuff. Yea, so we got our dishes and talked up a little more. Around the time the desert ice cream was served, James swoops in and gives Eileen her present. Toooo seexxxxxyyy baby. A bunch of the waiters come around and sing happy b-day to Eileen in the loudest voice they could, and we all did too, gettin some of the other ppl in the restaurant to join in as well. Yea baby, thats the way to do it, hehe. After that, we decide to head on over to Tea Zone, since Lollicup has the best milk tea boba. So, it was back to the catching up and talking, good stuff as always. After Eileen opened up her presents, every1 decides to head on out. So, it was down to me and James, waiting around for Amy to finish up. Pretty rough day for her, hardest worker i kno, and that had to happen.... messed up. And something happened to James' car a while back too. Sometimes the world seems to make less sense as i go along. But anyway, after Amy meets up w/ us, we head on over to CyberWorld to meet up w/ the other guys. Gary, Shuan, Victor, Malcolm, and Pranav were there already. I didnt really feel like hitting up the cs that night, so jus for 1/2 hr would be good. W/ some good coaching from Gary "go in there w/ guns blazing", i got pretty high up there. Yea, so after that i decide to head on over to Yoon's, and eat some of her baked goods (cause she made em, nothing like homemade baby), bringing along a few surprises as well. She was pretty surprised to c James, Pranav and Amy in tow w/ me. It was pretty good, eating some peanut butter cookies and talking again. Always a pleasure. So, after some time, i realize that its 1:45 in the morning, and i still had to go home. Yea... so we went back a few minutes later, and i headed back on over to home. Good stuff, very nice day. A little improvisation always spices up things.
And it leads into today, when i woke up a little too early for my taste, ehhh. I met up w/ Mike again, always fun when this guy is around. One of the funniest and craziest guys i kno, and i wouldnt have it any other way, hehe. So, we head on over to Pantera Park to meet up w/ Kyle and James G to play some bball. Guess i didnt learn my lesson from last time, cause thats when the burning began... Me and Mike paired up, and we had a couple good plays. Some were horrible, all air and nothing else, hehe. Most of our plays consisted of cutting to the basket and finding the closest man to the basket. Ehh, after awhile in the sun, guess we were drained. Time for the pool, oh yea baby. We head on over to Kyles to dip in the pool for awhile. Again, i didnt learn my lesson, no sunscreen, and into the pool i go. The surface was pretty hot, but the bottom was nice. After a few cannonballs from the diving board, i think we got that water throughly mixed, hehe. It was pretty nice after that. Most of the time we splashed around and passed a ball around. Kyle and James was wrestling up a storm, and Mike and I got into the mix until i developed a nasty cramp... doh. Kyle had to register for classes today too, that was quite the bitch. All classes he wanted taken up, sounds like telebears all over again.... We had some pizza and Kyle finally got enough classes for the quarter after a bit. I found out today how funny Kyle's mom is, very funny lady she is. Yea, so we go into the spa after we're all nice and ready. Funny stuff they talk about, mostly bout Paully and Gerald... wish they were there too, funniest guys i kno. Yea, so we talk about various things, things that come to mind. All too much to write down here, but for the most part, it was interesting stuff. But, we had to go pretty soon, since Mike had to leave for dinner. We started gettin into rpgs for some reason, and if u kno me, i went off on XENOGEARS again, cause it has the best storyline ever. Every character in ur party is developed so well, and the story develops in a way that leaves u wondering what will come next. And the story itself is so unique, reminicent a little of Evagelion (cause the writer for the series wrote for xenogears), but so trippy. If i had a day to tell any1 about the story, and they wouldnt be bored at all, i would do it so fast... aww well. So, i come back home, kinda in a daze. Mostly cause i have become a roasted tomato, thats what i look like now. The shoulders sting a little, and so does the back, its to be expected. Im gettin a little hotter than usual, slight headache. All things i've dealt with. But one new thing is that my upper lip is stingin... what the? Guess i got more burnt than i thought. Ehhh, all in all, good day as well. 2 for 2, good stuff baby. My summer is about to run out... better make the most of it. Anyway, take care yall. More to come soon.

A GOLDEN VOICE FOR ALL SEASONS...
was lost today. Chick Hearn, the voice of the Los Angeles Lakers since the 60's, had entertained and garnered an immense fan base for generations of Laker fans, rather all sports fans. Chick is the father of the modern basketball lexicon (not my words, but it does the job, hehe), coining phrases such as "slam dunk", "airball", "no harm, no foul" and others. This is a fact that i really havent heard about until too late. His brand, unique style of callin the play by play was a refreshing, energizing spectacle that made watching the Lakers as i have an enjoyment on a different, higher level. Truly, an announcer who can only be rivaled by Vin Scully, voice of the LA Dodgers, and thats a lil' because im such a Dodgers fan. Many ppl have heard Chick as they were growing up, and their children have also grown up listening to that same voice. Once i heard that he had an accident, banging his head... my heart sank a little. After that, his condition began to deteriorate, until today when there was nothing else left. My heart was pained, it is a great loss. I couldnt believe it, 9 championship seasons, including the threepeat. He overcame huge obstacles to cover the Lakers championship season 2002, but i guess fate and time was due. The whole sports world wont be the same, not to mention the Lakers games. It will be a strange, uneasy situation to deal w/, watching a Lakers game w/o hearing that golden voice. Chick, u will be missed. U have made this world a better place to live in, especially these loyal Lakers fans, and heaven will all be the better w/ ur arrival.
Give a little prayer to the man that embodies the Lakers, the one and only golden voice of the team. W/ that, take care yall. More to come soon.

SIGNS... OF A SASSY GIRL...
Yeap, went to c two movies today. Meeting up w/ Eliot, Shuan, Jiner, Don and Malcolm, we went to get some dinner and then went over to Puente to c Signs.
Signs was an alrite flick to watch, not disappointed w/ the movie except for one thing which ill reveal later on. For the most part, i enjoyed the movie. Yea, so Signs is about a retired reverend who lives w/ his brother and two children on his farm, where he grow corn. Much to his surprise, a crop circle is made in his very own field. Skeptical at first, they deem it to be a hoax perpetrated by some punk neighbor kids. Mysterious events around the farm and beyond take place, w/ the occurence of multiple crop circles and lights within the skies of numerous cities around the globe. Mass hysteria ensues, and evidence is revealed that shows that truly we are not alone in this universe... One thing i liked about the movie was this one scene w/ Mel Gibson and Joaquin Phoenix. Gibson tells his brother, Phoenix, about two different perspectives upon witnessing some sort of phenomena. He also mentions something about there are no coincidences within this world. Ehh, i liked that part. And then there were the two main ways of garnering suspense: the cheap scare and the subtle scare. The cheap scare is building up the music... and then shocking the audience w/ a sudden loud noise, a phone call or a dog barking. There must have been 4 of those. The subtle scare is the better way, when they certain sounds to make the audience uneasy, kinda building up the tension. Or let the moment dawn on them after awhile, such as in a reflection that not many notice until a bit later on. Yea, certainly some scenes that made me a little uneasy... its all good. But, theres one thing i didnt like at all, it was horrible. It has to do w/ the end, so if u havent seen the movie yet, this is a SPOILER ALERT. U have been warned:
The weakness of the aliens is seriously... weak sauce. When your weapon of choice is a super soaker against these bad boys... theres something wrong.
Ehh, it was a good movie, jus a terrible ending.
Afterwards, we head on over to Jin's place after picking up some Lollicup boba, oh yea baby. After a game of "five-in-a-row" (guess its orthello, but they used go pieces), we watch one of my favorite movies. I should get some of them on DVD, but maybe something a little better than Jin's... heheh
Yeap, it was my second time watching My Sassy Girl, a really funny Korean movie. After awhile the sound got kinda out of sync and the subtitles were a bit off sometimes (timing and translation-wise)... speaking of subtitles, the funniest thing is that in this dvd, they even subtitled some of the live-action (ie "the crowd becomes silent as death...", "bang!bang!bang!"). HAHAH. Anyway, it was nice revisting one of my favorites. As near and dear action movies are to me, theres nothing like a good sappy romantic movie for me. And the Korean sappy-romantic movie has its own sort of character to it, something that kind of hits me in a certain way. Well, basically it involves this one guy, ur all-around nice, chivarous guy, who meets up w/ this really cute, but really... uhhh... sassy, girl in a subway station. Turns out shes really drunk, and the guy, with pangs of conscience, takes her to a motel so she has a decent place to sleep. Later the police comes, and he gets hauled away. After that, the two become involved in a very unique relationship... Yea, not goin to tell the rest, ill jus pick and choose. Throughout the movie, the guy seems really, in a word, whipped. But, thats only on the surface, its a relationship that runs a little deeper, w/ both of them understanding each other on a different level, even tho they might not realize it. Yea, and in most of these kinds of movies, theres something really romantic that the guy does. So, the guy, Gyeun-woo, is asked what kind of girl is prettiest. He answers a girl playin Pachebels Canon on a piano. He asks her the same thing. She answers some1 that delivers her a flower on their 100th day anniversary. Thats what happens. He sneaks into her all-girls college disguised as a take-out delivery man, and approaches her w/ a rose, in a full auditorium, as she plays Canon on the piano. Yea, yea, its a movie, wouldnt happen. And, whenever i tried anything remotely romantic, it turns out really cheesy for some reason. One of my ultimate goals is to make one of those romantic endeavors... romantic instead of cheesy. Gotta keep tryin. And nearing the end, the two build a time capsule, promising each other they'll return two years later, as different ppl. If by then they're feelings havent changed, then it must be fate. In that situation, can i wait 2 yrs? Hey, ive been waiting my entire life, and if its for some1 i truly love, than love is blind to time. One complaint i heard about the movie is that they dont kiss at any time. Yea, thats kinda a downer, but not so much. Theres another scene where he holds in her arms in a taxi, reminicent a little bit of the 1st time he saw her. He tells the driver to slow down a bit. I wouldnt mind that at all. One of the most comforting and warm feelings to have, i would imagine, is holding some1 u truly care for in ur arms, and then she jus snuggles up a little tighter. I would imagine a feeling that would be like none other, something that would be hindered by description, yet makes itself known completely, only in a different, deeper language. Truly, a heart at ease, and a light warmth that surrounds u. Guess thats how it might feel like. Well, anyway, its a funny, sappy(at times) movie. No wonder its one of my favorites. All in all.... watch it, funky subtitles and all (or better yet, pick up some Korean, hehe).
Good day all around. Take care then yall. More to come later.

I SHOULDNT HAVE TAKEN THE LONG WAY....
Today was a pretty good day. Started off w/ some good ol' saturday mornin cartoons, and some MLB action. Dodgers at Phillies, and that turned out to be a good one. Shawn Green's 9th inning 2 out 2 run homer tied up the game for the Dodgers, and he hit another homer early on in the game as well. That set up a 8-6 win for the Dodgers in extra innings, ooh yea baby. While that was goin on, i watched a little bit of Chobits, another anime series im starting up. It has to deal w/ these AI beings called Persocons. Its a real funny anime, and the opening song is really catchy, i have it stuck in my head during peculiar hours of the day. Seems like good watchin alrite. Then, it was off to help out an ol' friend.
If i didnt take Imperial Hwy all the way, i think i could've helped out a lot more... ehh. Turns out she lives reaallly close to CyberWorld... doh. By the time i got there, she pretty much packed all her stuff inside the apt, save for a microwave and refridgerator. Aw well, i helped move those up the stairs at least. I havent seen her in quite awhile... it must have been more than a yr now. First time i met her was at Esperanza, tryin to get a date for the Winter Formal dance. Yeap, i havent seen Yoon for a whole long time, and to me, she hadnt changed much, not at all. If she did change, she jus got more radiant, haha. Moving back from the summer session apt must have been tough, lugging all that down the stairs and driving from SD.... At least it was about done when i finally made it over there. We caught up after that, talking about various things that came to mind. Catching up is one of the best things ive done during the summer, its real fun. Seems like shes doin pretty well in SD, glad thats goin well. Yea, so catching up and gettin a bite to eat, we spent quite some time doin that. Yea, i think this is what i like best, jus hangin out w/ some buddies, improvising everything and not worry quite so much about everything, jus enjoyin the moment. Its good stuff. It was really nice catching up.
Afterwards, time to meet up w/ the boys at Cyberworld. 2hrs of cs goodness, and i did pretty well. Its all good. Heading on over to In n Out, Andrew, Don and i talk about various things as well. One thing jus cracked me up,courtesy of Andrew. If im ever a customer service phone guy and i get one of these calls, i dont kno whether i laugh or cry....
Customer:"I cant locate my cd-drive"
*asks for serial numbers and such, goin by procedure*
Customer:"All i c is this cupholder."
*wth????*
Customer:"I press the eject button on this thing on the front of my computer, and out comes a cupholder"
.....
Totally speechless. Funny stuff tho. Ah well, met up w/ a good friend, all in all, its a good day. More to come soon.
